INTRO

Anodynus is a mixed media series about the relationship between artistic ingenuity and human suffering.

« The story of humanity becomes the story of a long procession of sufferers, for whose suffering no justification is offered, of poor souls intellectually and morally confounded, who entered into existence blind to any reason for their coming and leave it blind, who cannot so much as conjecture their origin, or the meaning of their lives, whose elevation above lower creatures has been their direst misfortune, their ideals an accentuation of their griefs. » —W. MACNEILE DIXON

ON: GNARLY VINES

« To produce great wine, a vine has to suffer. Old, gnarled vines survive inhospitable growing conditions by developing deep, complex root systems that twist and turn through rock and soil in search of water and nutrients. These low-yielding vines produce smaller, more concentrated grapes, resulting in a more complex, intense and memorable wine.

To say that the best wines come from gnarly vines is not a slogan – it’s a fact. » GNARLYVINES.COM
